With new advances in technology in the book industry we have noticed a huge need for new form of book publishing. With the advent of the digital press it is now possible to produce a quality book at very reasonable costs with lower quantities than previously required with the larger web and sheet fed presses. Here are the basic steps in publishing a book: 1. Write the book called a manuscript. 2. Have the manuscript edited. 3. Gather or have artist provide artwork including illustrations and cover art. 4. Apply for ISBN number and get bar code. 5. Have the manuscript laid out into book form. 6. Shop printers and find the best deal for you. 7. Have the book printed. 8. Find distributors and set up distribution accounts at each one. 9. Set up your web site to sell your book. 10. Set up in house fulfillment. Boxes, tape, UPS accounts, postage machines, etc, etc. 11. Advertise and sell your books through active promotion and seminars. Sounds easy Huh? The truth is that anyone can do this with an investment and time. Setting up the distribution channels is the hardest part. What we do is to offer a select few people the possibility to do the part they can do and let us do the rest. Here is what we offer in the Lightworker Publishing Partners Program: 1. You write the book. 2. You have the manuscript edited at your cost under separate agreement with our approved editor. 3. You pay for layout and design work agreed upon by our approved editor. 4. You pay for the print run. We will usually want 100 copies for our stock which will include about 30 copies for promotion and review copies. If you want to sell the book yourself from your own web site or during your own seminars that is perfectly fine. You keep all the profit from those sales but you will need to print enough for you to have copies for your own sales and do your own fulfillment services for those sales. 5. We provide the ISBN and publish the book under the Lightworker Publishing banner. It is put in the Lightworker bookstore and sold from our web sites. 6. We register and send the books to Amazon and other web sites that sell large numbers. We also list your book in the Lightworker distributors accounts we have already made with the larger distributors in the metaphysical arena. As a note to the large distributors we give a 55% discount off retail. 7. We do all fulfillment on the books we sell to individuals and distributors. 8. We include your book in all advertising (mostly to bookstores) as published by Lightworker Publishing and list it in our catalog. 9. Every 6 months we reconcile the accounts and do an inventory of stock on hand and send the author 50% or the net profit of the sales. The description above is an estimate as the final figures and arrangements will be reflected in the publishing agreement that will be sent to you once your book is accepted in the program. 10. We still expect you as an author to do the public appearances and strongly suggest that you present your own seminars. How to get started: First submit the manuscript on a digital form to our review staff. Don't worry about having it in the final version as you will have the chance to work with the editor to make it what you want it to be. Secondly if your book is chosen you will receive an estimate for service needed to get the book ready for publication. This will be done by the approved editorial service and not from the Lightworker Corporation. Even if your book does not fit the criteria for publication under our program you will generally get a quote for suggested services from a professional who knows the book business. If you believe that your book is already laid out and edited, then send the final PDF file along with cover art for the submission. Please be patient as we are new at this. Lightworker is offering this to authors as a service to help enlighten this planet. We may have to make changes along the way so that it works for all of us. The Lightworker Corporation's mission statement is to make many places for the Light to shine and to spread Light through human empowerment. This program is directly related to that mission.
